Version 0.5 has opened up a farm that feels a bit silly once you see it working. The trick is getting Abyss and Rogue Exiles to overlap, then letting the game do the messy part for you. If you're chasing expensive jewels, currency bursts, and craftable bases rather than random side loot, this is one of the cleaner routes right now. It's also the kind of setup where knowing which PoE 2 Items actually matter saves you a lot of wasted time, because not every shiny drop deserves a second look.
The Atlas Setup That Makes It Click
The key Atlas choice is the Abyss node that spreads extra pits through the area. Don't skip it. That's what gives Rogue Exiles more chances to get pulled into the Abyss chain, and that interaction is where the big payouts come from. You'll also want Overlords Domain if your maps can handle it, since adding another Rogue Exile around a powerful boss means more chances per run. It's not fancy. More Exiles, more pits, more rolls at the good stuff.
Tablet Choices And Budget Levels
There are two sensible ways to run the tablets. If you're starting out, use an Abyss tablet with a chance to add four extra pits, then pair it with an Overseer tablet and an Irradiated tablet. The last two don't need perfect mods at this level, so the cost stays reasonable. If you've got currency to burn, upgrade to an Abyss tablet that guarantees four extra pits, plus Overseer and Irradiated tablets that both have plus one Rogue Exile. That version costs more over a set of ten maps, often several Divines more, but the extra Exiles do make the jewel drops feel steadier.
Ulaman Or Amanamu
For Balance of Power, Ulaman is the safer pick. The rares are easier, the chests are consistent, and you won't have to play every pack like it's a boss fight. Most players should begin there, especially if the build is still a bit rough around the edges. Amanamu is the greedier option. It can be better, but only if you're willing to drag the special rares out of their dark clouds before killing them. Do that properly and they can drop Omen of Lights and Echoes, which is where the higher ceiling comes from.
How To Run The Maps Properly
You'll need six-modifier maps to fit three tablets, and most people run this on high-tier Waystones such as Tier 15. The actual map mods aren't the point, since they don't change the Rogue Exile jewel drop rate. Pick Jado as the Master, then take Spycraft with Long Days for the extra chance at random content. Once inside, keep it tight: kill Rogue Exiles, finish Abysses, kill the boss, and leave. The money comes from jewels like Heart of the Well Diamond and their Well of Souls reveals, not from wandering into every distraction; if you're comparing upgrades or checking PoE 2 gear for sale between sessions, focus on pieces that help you clear these targets faster and survive the rough Amanamu pulls.
